Not On My Watch -  Young people taking a stand against human trafficking and slavery in Wales.  It is happening right under our noses.  'Children as young as three are being trafficked to Wales from China, Bangladesh and Nigeria for sex, drugs and domestic servitude' - one website states.  Please take a look at the website 'Not on my Watch' and sign the petition.

If you haven't as yet heard, God is moving in Cwmbran, South Wales.

Here is the latest report:

Wonderful things are happening in South Wales. Our friends from Celebration for the Nations have reported, "There is a beautiful outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Victory Church in Cwmbran. Many are coming to salvation and the Lord is working some remarkable miracles. People are beginning to come from other parts of Wales and England to soak in the very tangible presence of the Lord. There is no hype, just worship and good gospel teaching.
Here is today's update from their web page:

Last night marked the 16th day of the "Welsh Outpouring" and God has continued to move powerfully in people’s lives. Many people have been in touch to encourage us as we continue to walk this walk, with Jesus at the wheel. This is His work, its not about any man, or any ministry and we welcome all to come and experience Gods presence as this living water continues to flow.
The amount of Salvations that we are seeing is simply incredible. It was amazing to see a girl, (who got saved on Wednesday night) bring her friend on Thursday, who also gave her life to Christ! This is only one example of what is happening amongst so many families and groups of friends.
We are seeing significant breakthrough with teenagers in the church and more and more are being filled with the Holy Spirit and hungering after the things of God. Many already feel ‘called’ by God for specific tasks, this is so exciting for us as we continue to reach out to rescue the sinner.
Pastor Andrew exhorted us last night to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. This is so important, especially in a context like this, where so much is happening and so many are visiting. Amidst this mighty outpouring, we are thankful that it is only Jesus that can truly change lives!
You can check their page daily to keep abreast and what is happening, and be encouraged to pray more. And do let friends know also, as the power of prayers behind this continues to adds the whole. Here's the link again: Victory Church Outpouring in Cwmbran, South Wales!
This is all such an encouraging development, and we are looking for the tide to grow and spread. Please keep the pastors, leaders and all others serving especially in your prayers. They need all the support they can get.

Just to say, if the link does not work it is not because it is bad.  I think it just cannot hold the traffic it is receiving. :)

Night Shelter 2012/13

As the Cardiff Night Shelter draws to a close, this Thursday evening being our last for the season, we have found it to be extremely challenging, but very rewarding.

This season we found ourselves dealing with a different group of people.  Some of them being professionals, where the economic climate has had a part to play in their lives.  We still had those who had some addictions and we had two very challenging weeks – one of which the police had to be called in. It  seemed tougher this year – but so much more rewarding.

We are overjoyed to report that 2 of the guys have gone to Emmaus.   One of the guys we had to ‘hunt’ down to inform him that he got a place in Emmaus.  He was overjoyed and most importantly, he reported ‘for duty’. Emmaus Communities offer homeless people a home, work and the chance to rebuild their lives in a supportive environment. There are currently 24 Communities around the UK and several more in development.  Please pray for ‘Mister J’ as he goes through the programme.  Please pray for ‘Mister C’ as he was very close to ‘J’ on the streets and he is finding it hard without him, but we noticed a difference in ‘C’ last week.  He was more sober and quiet and was reading his Bible.  Please keep them in your prayers.

This afternoon we will be attending a Baptism service for ‘Mister M’ and possibly ‘Mister A’.  ‘M’ came to the UK to a job, but when he arrived found it to be a scam – a few people have been caught out with this.  ‘M’ left his country after his wife was tragically killed in an accident.  He left his young son of 5 years old with his mother so that he could come and work here and get a decent life for him and his son.  ‘M’ accepted the Lord as his Saviour.  He has a job and is doing well.  Sadly, whilst over here his son fell into a coma because of his diabetes and died.  ‘M’ was devastated and went through a really bad time.  However, he has chosen to move forward and we celebrate with him as he takes the next step in his baptism.  Please pray for him.

‘Mister A’ has just given his life to the Lord and he might be baptised this afternoon.  Please pray for this young man who has moved in with a Christian family.  He was a Muslim and his father is an influential banker in another country.  ‘A’ is very aware that when he tells his family of his decision that they will cut him off and to them he will be dead.  This is so hard to come to terms with and we ask you to pray for him, especially as a babe in Christ.

‘Miss G’ has finally found a place to stay with a Christian family.  She is on fire for the Lord and we just pray that He takes her from strength to strength.  She wants to go to theological college.

‘Miss H’ has possibly got a place to stay.  Please pray for her that the Lord will truly reveal himself to her without all the mystical stuff she believes in.

‘Miss E’ is staying with a Christian Family and is attending our church with them every Sunday.  She is fragile in frame.  And I say girl, because she looks like a little girl, but I'm sure she must be in her early 40’s.  Pray as she comes off addictions.  She has a beautiful heart and loves the Lord.  Pray that she settles.  She gets itchy feet and wants to run, but we want you to pray that she has run for the last time – that this is it.  Pray that the Lord captures her heart and brings such a newness there.

Please pray for 'Mister E' who never returned to the Night Shelter after the fist challenging week.

Please also pray for those families who take the homeless in.

We value your prayers for each of these people.  Thank you LORD for your amazing ways.
